BEE Team Information

Thank you for supporting children’s literacy in your community!

Teams consist of 3-4 spellers (must be 18 or older)

Create a “bee” themed name and costumes

Prizes

  • 1st place spellers-$300
  • 2nd place spellers-$150
  • Costume contest-$100
  • Biggest Honey Pot (the team that raises the most $$)-Grand Gift Basket

Registration Fee: $250

Optional “Cheats” to Use in the Contest

  • Rebuzz- allows a team to re-enter the competition after misspelling a word. Teams can purchase one Re-Buzz for $100.
  • Buzz-off-allows teams to pass on spelling a word. Teams can purchase one Buzz-off for $100.
  • Stinger Cheat- allows a team to pass a spelling word that they cannot spell to another team and the chosen team must spell that word. Teams can purchase one Stinger for $150.

Teams may have sponsors, donors, or both.

We will set up a crowdfunding page specifically for your team to help you raise funds. You will receive an email after we receive your registration.

DEADLINES

  • Team Registration and Team Entry Fee Deadline: March 6th
  • Business Sponsorship Deadline: February 25th to have their logo included on media
  • Purchasing “Cheats” deadline: 5:30 day of the event.
